Dr. Abdul Rao Recommends Using Google Health For Keeping A Record Of Medical Information

Dr. Abdul Rao recommends using Google Health for availing advanced benefits from technology. Google Health, as defined by Wikipedia, is a "personal health information centralization service offered by the famous search engine Google. It allows users to volunteer their health records manually or by logging into their accounts at partnered health services providers- into the health system which helps them in managing separate health records into one centralized Google Health profile".

It is a safe and secure highly flexible electronic platform that allows patients to store and manage their comprehensive information on healthcare in a central place. Dr. Abdul Rao is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Research Officer of the Institute of Women's Health of North America. He attends various conferences and seminars around the country on health issues and concerns. Recently he spoke at International Technology Forum in Sarasota, Florida about the importance of creating a cross enterprise electronic platform for helping patients with timely integration of healthcare information. As per Dr. Abdul Rao, presently there are many cost effective, secure and flexible platforms for enterprise-wide information sharing that are in use in healthcare industry globally. With the help of this integration, the health care providers are able to increase their efficiency and facilities and they have been able to completely improve the quality of healthcare that is being delivered to the patients.

The institute of the Women's Health of North America is the largest healthcare provider for women in Florida. Under the guidance of Dr. Abdul Rao, it has proactively started implementing a strategic plan with which emphasis has been laid on creating an enterprise-wide paper-less environment in its campuses and making it available to patients and their caregivers in a safe and user friendly environment. Other than that, Dr. Abdul Rao encourages and motivates his patients to get acquainted with Google Health with which they can get specific information across the enterprises to be uploaded in this platform. It is estimated that the patients of this institute's affiliated campuses will establish Google Health accounts by the end of 2010 with which they will be able to securely upload their data into this platform.
