Dr. Abdul Rao Honored With Prestigious Awards And Prizes For His Contribution In Medical Sciences

Dr. Abdul Rao, a learned scholar from Dow Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan, has contributed extensively to the field of medical science. After completing his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery, Abdul Rao joined the Department of Physiology, Boston University School of Medicine and graduated in 1989 with a M.A.,in Physiology.

Dr.Abdul Rao’s biographical profile has been recognized in Marquis Who’s Who in the East,Marquis Who’s Who in America, Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and Marquis Who’s Who in the world.He has been serving as a prominent member in Tennessee Organ Transplantation Task Force. Dr. Abdul Rao has been contributing in field of medical sciences with his great observation and insight.He has also been honored with many prestigious awards and prizes for his contribution in the field of medical sciences.British Vice Chancellor’s Committee, Professor Ad Honorem by the Universidada de Antioquia, Medellin, Columbia, Distinguished Professor Award from the Institute of Kidney Diseases & Research Center,Ahmedabad,India etc.are some of the honors he was acknowledged with.

Besides,he is a permanent author and has reviewed over 130 publications in peer reviewed generals and book chapters and presented more than 180 lectures. Dr.Abdul Rao has been very influential and has played an active role in developing and facilitating the implementation of a strategic plan to enhance the research and graduate education at all Tennessee Board of Regents Universities.Dr.Abdul Rao has worked as the reviewer for Immunology, Life Sciences, Nature Medicine, Liver Transplantation Surgery,Surgery,and many other scientific journals.

Dr.Abdul Rao has played an important role in Tennessee Council of Graduate Deans by leading a mission to transform the education and training of doctoral students in social sciences and physical sciences.Abdul Rao has also served the USF Health as Vice Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and for the College of Medicine as the Senior Associate Vice President for research and Graduate Studies.
